Options for Learning cares about your health!yoga

Options for Learning encourages employees to participate in an activity that will increase their overall fitness and health. Increased fitness reduces injuries, reduces, or eliminates lost time from work, and provides a general sense of well-being.
 
To incentivize these types of activities, Options for Learning offers a $100 fitness reimbursement per year for all staff (temporary and on-call staff are not eligible). The maximum reimbursement per fiscal year (July 1 through June 15) is for the cost of the approved item up to $100; receipts for multiple items may be submitted to reach the maximum of $100.
 
Employees may apply to be reimbursed for the purchase of one of the approved fitness items listed below:
  • Health club/gym membership or personal trainer/fitness coach;
  • Membership in weight loss/nutrition programs or classes;
  • Physical activity and exercise classes (such as Pilates, yoga, dance);
  • Walking or running shoes for non-work-related activities;
  • Exercise equipment (treadmill, mini-stepper, weights, etc.);
  • Bicycle or roller skates/blades;
  • Fruit and vegetable juicer;
  • Air fryer;
  • Entry fees for a marathon or triathlon, or other fitness-related events;
  • Wearable fitness trackers (Fitbit, Apple Watch, Samsung Watch, Amazon Halo, etc.
Fitness reimbursement requests must be submitted via Paylocity Expense (refer to this email with instructions). Receipts must include:
  • Date of purchase;
  • Description of the item;
  • Method of payment (debit, PayPal, credit card, cash).
Note: Employee must include a written explanation if the item(s) were purchased by or shipped to someone other than the employee.
 
Please provide four to six weeks for reimbursement to be processed. Reimbursements will be paid by direct deposit. A check will be issued to the staff if direct deposit is not set up in Paylocity.
