This training builds on the concept of trauma-informed care and continues the discussion of how trauma impacts a child's early development, particularly as it relates to the stress response system, sensory system and attachment. The Adverse Childhood Experiences Study is also reviewed as a way to understand the long term effect of early childhood trauma.
