of eleven cities in the San Gabriel Valley: Alhambra, Azusa, Baldwin Park, El
Monte, South El Monte, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, Rosemead, San Gabriel, Temple
City, and Whittier.

An important part of choosing child care is the process of interviewing, visiting
and observing potential child care providers. It is your right and responsibility
to seek as much information as you can in order to choose child care that best
meets your family's needs.
While you look for child care please remember:
• The information we collect is very important to give you the best referral
possible, so we ask that you please complete all required information.
• All personal information collected is kept CONFIDENTIAL and will not
be sold, traded or made available to outside sources.
• This data is also used to assist state and local agencies to understand
and plan effectively to address child care needs in our community.
Your referral list:
The referral list you will receive will consist of up to 15 child care providers
based on the criteria you entered. In order to ensure fairness to all of our
child care providers who are on our referral list, providers who meet your specified
criteria will be picked at random from our computer database.

Child care referral services are provided to all persons requesting them regardless
of income or other eligibility factors. The names of providers are referrals
and not recommendations
. The referrals are based on information
provided by the child care providers themselves. Options does not inspect the
providers and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information or the quality
of the supervision your child will receive. The choice of your child's care
provider is your responsibility.
Options strongly recommends that before placing a child in care, parents or guardians
exercise their right and responsibility to review a potential child care provider's
licensing history. As a parent or guardian, you have the right to get information
about any substantiated or inconclusive complaints about a child care provider
that you select for your child. This is a public record and is available at the
facility. A more complete file, including complaints or violations for licensed
programs in Los Angeles County, may be available at the Department of Social
Services, Community Care Licensing offices listed below:

When you have chosen the best child care option for your child and have enrolled
in the program, Options urges you to be engaged with the program and to remain
in regular communication with the child care provider about your child's experience.
