Options to Lead is a paid, yearlong internship designed for individuals who want to make a difference in children’s lives and begin a meaningful career in early childhood education. The program blends hands-on classroom experience, online coursework, and guided mentorship to help participants build the skills and confidence needed to become early childhood educators.
Since 1981, Options for Learning has supported families across the San Gabriel Valley through high-quality early learning programs. This internship provides a supported pathway into the field for those ready to start their careers.
WHY APPLY?
- Earn while you learn: Work full-time. Learn on the clock. Earn $21 per hour — including class time;
- Education at no cost: Complete 15 online college credits, including six infant/toddler units, paid for by Options for Learning;
- A clear career path: Finish eligible for your associate teacher permit and for open positions at Options for Learning;
- Mentorship and support: Learn from experienced educators who provide guidance throughout the program;
- Priority consideration: Applicants who qualified for earlier cohorts receive priority for the 2026 cycle.
