Education Support Services
Options for Learning is committed to supporting the entire family, not just the child enrolled in our programs. To accomplish this goal, we have a number of departments who are committed to providing much needed support and services for our families.
Family Engagement
Options for Learning’s Family Engagement Department strives to create a welcoming environment and sense of community for all families in our programs. Our goal is to build relationships with families and promote positive outcomes for all children and families.
To achieve this goal, the Family Engagement team focuses on providing valuable family education through workshops, activities and events for parent involvement, and other opportunities to empower parents and caregivers and build family resilience.
In addition, staff members partner with parents and caregivers to set goals for their families, themselves, and their children and to increase access to valuable community resources and services to promote their well-being. Family advocates partner with families to support them on their journey for lifelong success.
Inclusion and Wellness
Options for Learning’s Inclusion and Wellness Department provides a comprehensive services approach to support children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
The Inclusion and Wellness team emphasizes the importance of early identification and intervention for all children with developmental concerns. Our staff assist families in getting the appropriate referrals and accessing resources for their children. We collaborate with other agencies to provide assessments and specialized support services to children in our programs.
Inclusion coordinators work individually with families and advocate for their children throughout the referral process. Our staff also attend Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP) and Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings and act as liaisons between our program and the local education agencies (LEA) and districts.
The Inclusion and Wellness Department aims to help all children succeed in our program and beyond by building partnerships with families, staff, and community partners.
Health Services
Working alongside other departments within the agency, Options for Learning’s Health Services Department provides comprehensive services to assist our enrolled children and families in addressing their healthcare needs.
Our health service professionals support families by providing resources to help them better understand their child’s health, offering referrals to community organizations, and helping them stay current on their children’s health care and immunization schedule.
Our dedicated staff connect with families who need individualized support to advocate, educate, and empower them as they navigate healthcare services to meet their child’s developmental milestones.
In addition to supporting families, our staff help provide strategies, support, and training opportunities to our classroom staff so they can continue to effectively accommodate our new and returning families. Our department’s goal is to promote the health, safety, and well-being of our young children and families.
