Options for Learning at East Whittier City School District

Free, low-cost early learning for ages 2-5 (including support for TK-age children) and before- and after-school programs for grades TK-5

Options for Learning is proud to partner with East Whittier City School District to offer the following programs at select elementary school campuses. To learn more or to apply, please contact us, and an education advisor will help determine your eligibility and review available options.

EARLY LEARNING (TODDLER, PRESCHOOL, AND SUPPORT FOR TK-AGE)

  • Serving ages 2-5;
  • Full-day, year-round program;
  • Free or low-cost services for qualified families who are working, seeking employment, attending vocational training, or enrolled in educational programs, or are homeless, incapacitated, or seeking permanent housing, as well as children in child protective services or at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

SCHOOL-AGE (GRADES TK-5)

  • Year-round; before- and after-school programs, including full-day services on days the school district is closed;
  • Before-school sessions are available as early as 6:30 a.m.; after-school programs conclude at 6 p.m.
  • Free or low-cost services for qualified families who are working, seeking employment, attending vocational training, or enrolled in educational programs, or are homeless, incapacitated, or seeking permanent housing, as well as children in child protective services or at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation;
  • Full-cost options available.
