As part of being an enrolled family at Options for Learning, you have the chance to work with one of our Parent Coaches! Our coaches provide free guidance, support, practical tools, and encouragement to help you feel confident in your parenting journey.
In the video, Parent Coaches Evelin Rivera and Cindy Alvarez discuss this free support for families. Our coaches take the time to get to know you, your child, and your family’s unique needs.
Parent Coaches work alongside families to create simple, personalized strategies that fit naturally into daily routines at home.
Whether you’re navigating tantrums, potty training, or creating a consistent bedtime routine, our Parent Coaches are here to support you along the way.
For example, one family reached out to our Parent Coaches and wanted to focus on their child’s emotional outbursts and daily routines. When the initial strategies weren’t sticking, the Parent Coaches came up with the idea of creating a calming space in the child’s home.
“We set up a cozy, safe place with pillows, books, and calming tools where the child could go to relax and reset,” Evelin and Cindy share in the video. “We also added a visual routine chart to bring more structure to the day.”
Over time, the child began developing new ways to manage big feelings, helping the family feel more at ease and supported.
Parent Coaches support families with a variety of everyday parenting challenges, including:
Managing tantrums and big feelings
Building routines and smoother transitions
Toilet learning and healthy habits
Nutrition and daily care
Strengthening communication and coparenting
Every Parent Coach works alongside families to build on their strengths and help parents feel confident in their role as their child’s first and most important teacher.
