Options for Learning hosted our first Resource and Referral Advocacy Day earlier this year. The event highlighted the essential role of child care programs and the supportive impact of Resource and Referral agencies in our community. During the event, we presented a comprehensive report on our organization’s Resource and Referral services and provided an overview of our agency and programs. Statewide legislators met with Resource and Referral agencies to highlight the urgent need to maintain child care funding in the state budget, fulfill commitments to preserve child care slots, and establish fair provider pay rates. By visiting our organization in person, guests better understood our R&R operations, our significant impact on local communities, and the crucial role of California’s child care system.
