Preschool children eating lunchOptions for Learning’s Nutrition Program helps eligible child care providers serve nutritious meals and snacks while receiving reimbursement through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Along with financial support, providers gain access to training, guidance, menu planning resources, and ongoing assistance that help children thrive and programs succeed. CACFP is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks served in eligible care settings.

How to register for the program

  • Be a licensed family child care home provider;
  • Live in our service area.;
  • Call us at 626-338-4165 to schedule a sign-up with one of our site monitors.

We will explain our policies and give you the assistance and materials you need to begin serving nutritious meals that meet the USDA requirements for reimbursement.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf from any USDA office, by calling 866-632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

Information on WIC for families

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) helps support the health of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age 5 who have nutritional needs. The program provides healthy foods to supplement a family’s diet, guidance on eating well, breastfeeding education and support, and referrals to health care services.
